RAWALPINDI: Rawalpindi Customs Court has expressed displeasure over non-appearing of model Ayyan Ali in currency smuggling case and ordered her to appear before it on August 31 at every cost.
Customs court Rawalpindi led by Judge Rana Aftab took up for hearing currency smuggling case against model Ayyan Ali Wednesday. Khurram Latif Khosa counsel for model Ayyan Ali while filing application seeking permanent exemption for his client from attendance in the court argued Ayyan Ali has to appear in the court in Karachi, therefore, she should be granted exemption.
Judge RanaAftab Ahmad while expressing displeasure over non appearance of model Ayyan Ali in the court and her continued absence refused to receive the application and ordered that the accused be presented in the court and then the application on exemption will be heard.
The court also ordered LatifKhosa counsel for the accused to appear before it. While giving arguments, Khurram Khosa said notices were issued to the witnesses again despite filing of challan. Witnesses were asked if they joined investigation then action would be taken against them.
The court while accepting the application of the accused for exemption from her attendance for one day ordered that Ayyan Ali should appear before it on August, 31 at every cost.
