ISLAMABAD: A meeting of the Standing Committee on Interior and Narcotics Control will be held on July 11, at Parliament House under the Chairmanship of Senator Abdul Rehman Malik, a notice of Senate Secretariat said on Thursday.
The committee would discuss the compliance on the recommendations of the previous meetings of the standing committee which were held on May 9 and June 20. It will also discuss the submission of the report on the Islamabad Capital Territory Local Government (Amendment) Bill, 2016 that was passed in the June 20 meeting, for verification and adoption.
The body would be briefed on Islamabad Traffic Police and National Action Plan as directed in the meeting on Jun 20. Compliance on investigation with respect to the scandal of human organs sale is also on the cards for discussion as was conferred in the meeting of the Standing Committee on June 20, 2016.
The committee would take the matter referred by the House on June 15, 2016 regarding murder case of the Cardiologist of Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences Professor Dr Shahid Nawaz, the notice added.
